Predictive Capability

« Back to Glossary Index

Predictive capability refers to an AI system’s ability to forecast future events or outcomes, such as workload peaks, equipment failures, or patient risk, based on historical data patterns. Clinicians and managers need to understand that these are probabilistic estimates, not certainties, and require validation, monitoring, and clear thresholds before influencing care decisions.
